Mobe Review : Fashion for Success
Mobe Review and productivity ideas for new entrepreneurs – Dressing up every morning can be a tedious task and in those few minutes of thinking about what to wear, you could have completed reviewing important documents and freed up more time for other responsibilities.
Mobe Review : Fashion for Success explains The answer to why some of the world’s most successful people wear the same clothes everyday simply goes down to productivity.
In November 2014, during a live Q&A session, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg was asked why he always wore the same grey t-shirt. He took the question in good spirit and was quick to answer that clothing was not something he wished to waste energy on.
“I really want to clear my life to make it so that I have to make as few decisions as possible about anything except how to best serve this community,” he said.
It’s safe to assume that Zuckerberg does not waste those valuable ten minutes in the morning deciding what to wear. He already knows. This gives him ample time to focus on scaling his empire. And with a net worth of $45.6 billion, according to Forbes, he seems to be making the right decisions.
A now iconic look, immortalized by eponymous film portrayals, Jobs’ attire was instantly recognizable. So distinct are the images of Jobs on stage, standing in front of a huge screen dominated with the latest iPhone text, his outfit almost became synonymous with the “Apple look”.
In fact, according to an article on Mashable.com, “The signature look of the tech pioneer almost extended to Apple’s staff. Jobs said he once attempted to design something of a uniform for employees, but it was roundly rejected.”
At the time of his demise, Jobs was estimated to be worth $10.2 billion. And as an inventor who was known for always thinking ahead and devising innovative technologies, every minute holds value. Had Jobs wasted time on picking an outfit before he began work, his mind would have wasted useless energy and time on such trivial matters. That the mobe training explains that the “pioneers are productive.”
In an article from Michael Lewis for Vanity Fair, the president explained the reason behind his decision to not change his attire so frequently:
“You’ll see I wear only grey or blue suits. I’m trying to pare down decisions. I don’t want to make decisions about what I’m eating or wearing. Because I have too many other decisions to make.”
A research done by Elite Daily showed that the simple act of making decisions degrades one’s ability to make further decisions, which adds up to why leaders like Obama prefer to make outfits simple for them.
The Swedish tennis legend’s superstition related to one specific event – Wimbledon. Borg always prepared for the prestigious grand slam event by growing a beard and wearing the same Fila shirt. Something seemed to work and he went on to record five straight Wimbledon titles from 1976 to 1980.
As well as bouncing the ball five times before her first serve and twice before her second serve, the legendary tennis player wears the same pair of socks during a tournament run. With a medal cabinet as illustrious as hers, and with some considering her the greatest female tennis player of all time, it’s difficult to argue with her quirks.
Whether you’re choosing to wear the same outfit because it brings you good luck, or you want to increase your productivity, the fact remains that you are saving time whatever the reason may be. And with such a successful group of stable mates, you might want to consider cleaning out your closet!
If you stress over relatively small matters such as what to eat or wear every day, you’ll develop a tendency to become less efficient at work. By making so many decisions, you’ll have “fatigued your mind” when it comes to making comparatively bigger decisions.
While famous leaders enjoy keeping the same style every day, sports stars are infamous for being superstitious. Not changing an outfit is not necessarily a decision made to increase productivity, but it is believed that the same outfit worn could continue one’s good fortunes. And as the saying goes, “Why change a winning formula?”
Regardless on how you dress or present yourself, it’s always important that you keep your goals intact. It doesn’t necessarily mean that dressing down is a key to success—it’s only one of the many factors and while it works for some, it doesn’t mean you should do it, too. Things will still fall into place through your dedication and hard work which is the deciding factor if you’ll be successful or not.
