MOBE Matt Lloyd On Conquering Camera Shyness
MOBE Matt Lloyd Tips: Video marketing has grown tremendously in the past few years, and it has taken over the affiliate marketing niche by storm. A lot of affiliate marketers do live reviews and other videos of products they promote, to give their audience proof that they indeed use those products before they can recommend to anyone.
Just Do It
Matt Lloyd’s biggest advice is to just do it. On his earlier days of affiliate marketing, Matt Lloyd says he was not comfortable being in front of the camera either, and for sometimes he just stopped doing videos. When he had to do a video to promote an event, he ended up just shooting the video, and it got him sales. The more he kept doing it, the better he got at it.
When shooting a video, most people think they have to act a certain way, speak a certain way, etc. One of Matt Lloyd’s top tips is to be yourself in your video. Think of the camera as an actual audience you are talking to face to face, and speak like you would in that situation. Keep it conversational, and if you make small mistakes while talking, just carry on.
Don’t Focus On Perfection
We are our own worst critic. When you watch your video, you are probably going to be more critical than an average person would. Your video is not going to be perfect, you will make little mistakes here and there, but if you focus on those mistakes, you will never put out any video. Matt Lloyd says you should realize when your video is good enough, even if it if not perfect, and move on to the next.
The biggest take from this is to keep on doing it. Even if your first video does not do too well, watch it, learn from your mistakes, and keep going. With practice, you will eventually get better at it.
